Why flat pricing and not per-seat or per-room?

Studios staff fluidly — engineers come and go, a runner today is an engineer next month, freelancers log in for one session. Charging per seat makes you hide the system from people who should be using it. Charging per room punishes you for growing capacity. One flat price per studio means you bring everyone in, run as many rooms as fit, and you always know what next month costs.

What’s the difference between Starter and Pro?

Both tiers come with unlimited rooms, seats, and sessions — and both can collect payments, whether through Stripe or your own way. Starter covers the day-to-day: schedule, sessions, invoices, Google Calendar sync, and automatic client reminders. Pro adds the things commercial facilities need: your logo and brand color on invoices and pay pages, team roles with an audit log, and advanced reports (utilization, revenue, A/R aging).

What happens when I add a room?

Nothing changes on your bill. Rooms are unlimited on both tiers — add or remove them as your studio evolves, no upgrade flow, no surprise invoice.

Is there a free trial?

No free trial — Studioside is paid from day one. We’re in private beta and onboarding studios in small batches, so it starts with a quick access request. Once you’re in, setup is self-serve — add your rooms and rates and you can be sending invoices the same day. No call, no setup fee.

Do I have to use Stripe?

No. Stripe is there if you want clients to pay by card or bank transfer in one tap — connect your own account and the money lands straight in your bank. Prefer to keep it simple? Put your own details (Zelle, bank, cash) on the invoice, collect directly, and mark it paid. You keep 100%, with no processing fee at all.

Do you take a cut of the payments I collect?

Never — your monthly plan is the only thing Studioside charges. If you collect by card through Stripe, you pay Stripe’s standard 2.9% + 30¢ per payment, directly to Stripe. Collect outside Stripe — Zelle, bank transfer, cash — and there’s no fee at all. Either way, we never take a commission or a cut of what your clients pay you.

What if we have multiple locations?

That’s the Operator tier. Tell us how many studios you run and where you’d like a hand, and we’ll quote a plan that fits. Just an email — no call required.

What happens to my data if I leave?

You own it. Ask us for an export anytime, and if you cancel we hand you everything and delete what’s left.
